Kelly & Tom Cavanaugh, Massage Therapists
A Team Like No Other in Northwest Indiana.
Kelly and Tom of Elysium Massage believe bringing balance to an individual’s interlocked physical, mental, and spiritual wellbeing is a meaningful and deliberate journey of both client and practitioner. Placing a heavy emphasis on education through continually reading and attending classes to compliment their foundational education of massage, they bring a strong skill set to the table to relieve pain, and provide comfort and relaxation to each client. Whether you are looking to de-stress, increase mobility and range of motion, manage pain or just have a healthier lifestyle, Elysium Massage offers multiple modalities and techniques to help you achieve your goals.
LMT, CMLDT, CA, Reiki Practitioner,
Sarga Bodywork Therapist in Training
Kelly’s journey into the world of massage therapy was inspired after her own continuing experience with breast cancer which began in 2012. Since then, she has graduated massage school (2015) and regularly attends continuing education classes geared towards working with a medically frail population, especially those affected by cancer and its treatments. Post gradation, Kelly has an additional 170+ hours of continuing education in Oncology Massage, Manual Lymph Drainage, Cupping, Energy Therapy and Aromatherapy. Her touch is naturally slow, light, soothing and perfect for those seeing stress relief and relaxation. She is currently training in Sarga Bodywork, a barefoot massage method that delivers therapeutic myofascial and deep tissue techniques by employing a fabric strap fastened to the massage table.
B.A., LMT, CKTS
Tom received a Bachelor of Arts from Purdue University. Since then, he has followed Kelly into the world of massage therapy after seeing the help it could bring to those suffering with various conditions. He brings a variety of techniques and modalities to the massage table to help anyone from athletes to weekend warriors become pain free, recover quickly from injury or surgery, regain range of motion, and improve muscle tone. His training also allows him to give deeper pressure without pain to his clients. Post graduation, he has continued to seek out classes that add to his strong skill set. He has more than 36 continuing education hours, including Manual Integrative Therapy, and is working toward becoming a Movement Specialist. Tom is currently studying with Stretch*d Academy to bring assisted stretching to his clients to accelerate recovery, prevent injury, and improve performance.
